E-Safety
Parents and carers have information via the website about keeping children safe online with peers, the school, other education offers they may access and the wider internet community. We have set out the school’s approach, including the sites children will be asked to access and set out who from the school (if anyone) their child is going to be interacting with online.
Parents have been offered the following links:
- Internet matters - for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- South West Grid for Learning - for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- Net-aware - for support for parents and careers from the NSPCC
- Parent info - for support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online
- Thinkuknow - for advice from the National Crime Agency to stay safe online
- UK Safer Internet Centre - advice for parents and carers

Advice for Parents and Children
Share Aware
Help your child stay safe on social networks
We tell our children to share but online it's different.
In fact sometimes sharing online can be dangerous. That's why we're asking parents to be Share Aware and keep children safe online.

The internet is a fantastic learning tool and now forms the basis of much of our working and social lives. It allows us to communicate freely and quickly with people all over the world.
Whilst it has many positive benefits, there are sadly instances in which it can place our children in danger. Part of our responsibility as a school is to protect our children whenever they are online – this is both in and out of school.
We have put together a Parents' E-Safety guide and leaflet which is shared with children as a part of the curriculum.
The “Thinkuknow” website is brought to you by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre.
Kidsmart gives you lots of advice on how to stay safe online.
CEOP (The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) delivers a multi-agency service dedicated to tackling the abuse and exploitation of children in the real and ‘e’ world. Often it is referred to as an online 999. By clicking on the button, young people and parents can get advice on a range of issues such as viruses, hacking and dealing with bullying online.
