Oakwood Primary School

The whole school worked as a team to make 3d poppies using wire and fantasy film. Class 11 very kindly taught and supported KS1. Using these poppies, we made a silhouette of a WW1 soldier. You will be able to see this in the school’s main entrance.

On the day of remembrance each class had time to reflect and remember different aspects of war life and the life of a soldier. We had our own war memorial and laid a wreath of remembrance just before the 2 minute silence.
